Pens Notebook: Kasparaitis votes rolling in

Penguins defenseman Darius Kasparaitis continues to hold onto second place among World Team defenseman in All-Star balloting. In results released Thursday, Kasparaitis had 34,876 votes, well behind leader Nicklas Lidstrom (90,919) and just ahead of Sergei Zubov (32,880).

Jaromir Jagr leads all World Team forwards with 54,062 votes. Alexei Kovalev is fifth among wingers with 27,794 votes. Johan Hedberg was sixth among goaltenders with 14,201 votes. The only Penguins player with a significant amount of votes on the North American side is Mario Lemieux, who is third among centers with 22,710 votes.
